Going out of town for a couple of days, but I wanted to say this - if there are characters you'd like to request at westcorp, comment with them on the character information page with a brief reason why you want them? That can serve as a wanted list.
Kings seriously owns my soul right now.
Also I've started another information page for the game. It's random snippets of useful cultural information, and will be added to as I think of things. |

That when I hold stupid amounts of characters, it means I need to APP that many characters.
I CAN DO THIS, RIGHT? |

| WEST CORPORATION. |
[Jan. 22nd, 2012|06:00 pm] |
| PREMISE |
The King is Dead.
Aerys Targaryen is dead. CEO and Chairman of West Corporation, the world's largest and most powerful multinational conglomerate, he wielded an incredibly amount of power world wide, both politically and economically. In his early years he was one of the most brillant businessmen the world had ever seen, but as he grew old and his company more unwieldy, he became paranoid and unstable, and behind his back people would whisper the nickname 'Aerys the Mad'.
His death has left vacant the position of the most powerful man, and now the in-fighting begins. The heir apparent, Rhaegar Targaryen, seems disinclined to take the position, content to remain the CEO of Targaryen Holdings. Meanwhile the CEOs of less companies and other family members jockey for positions, making deals and securing alliances - or plot to detach themselves from the Targaryen empire.
* * * * *
West Corp is a game based on George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire. A modern reimagining set in New York City, it concerns itself with the business machinations of the world's most rich and powerful, also known as the Great Houses of Westeros. |

Why are there so many bloody characters in ASOIAF? |
|
|
| brainstorming post! |
[Jan. 19th, 2012|03:50 pm] |
So, in the interests of diversity, for That ASOIAF Game, I'm looking at situating some of the Great Houses as originating overseas etc, and definitely aligning non-Westeros locations as real palces in our world.
For example! The Lannisters may be a rich white South African family. The Martells may originate in the Middle East. The Arryns might be Japanese! The Dothraki may originate in Mongolia. Braavos might now be Venice!
But I need help coming up with things! If you have any ideas, please comment with them here and I will take them into account when putting things together. :) |

| gauging interest. |
[Jan. 18th, 2012|09:03 pm] |
Sooo, thanks to beijing's post awhile back about a modern day ASOIAF reincarnation gpsl, my brain got to... thinking. Which is a dangerous thing, I know, and I hope I'm not stepping on any toes or anything, but. >.> I had an idea! And wanted to gauge interest and see what sort of characters people would be interested in playing.
Basically the premise would be based around the West Corporation, a multinational conglomerate that splintered after the death of it's CEO (reincarnated Aerys). The splinter companies (aka the Great Houses) would still be under the umbrella corporation, with the various heads of the families squabbling over a) the position of CEO of West Corp or b) to splinter off completely and become an independent company or c) well, whatever you wanted, really.
Is this the sort of thing that people would be interested in? And if so, who would they be interested in playing? At this stage imagine you could play anyone (except, you know, historical characters who existed before the generations involved in Robert's Rebellion).
(Also feel free to point your friends this way?)
DISCLAIMER: Interest expressed in characters here is generally to help me with the set-up of various things, the normal holds process would apply. |

I am in dire need of a PB for an early 20s Oliver Queen. Already held in the game:
Chord Overstreet, Alex Pettyfer, Hunter Parrish, Armie Hammer, Garrett Hedlund, Kellen Lutz, Xavier Samuel.
They are just not enough pretty blonde boys around. |

I have not only posted for myself here, I have also managed to go and say nice things about a bunch of people. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A RARE AND STRANGE THING*, and also am now slightly delirious with tired and computer stareyness.
* as I am very bad about saying nice things to people other than YOU'RE AWESOME, THE END. |

| Trick or treat! |
[Oct. 26th, 2011|03:47 pm] |
In honor of All Hallow's Eve, I'm inviting trick-or-treaters to my 'door.' Comment "trick-or-treat" to this post and...well, you know the drill. Treats can be anything that strikes my fancy (pics of fave actors or pairings, one sentence fics, graphics, a few words why I'm glad to have you on my flist, etc. etc.). The more "houses" to visit the more fun it'll be, so go ahead, open your journal and help spread the fun! |

I'm on the second book of the Dresden Files and actually really enjoying this one.
And I'm now seriously tempted to steal the werewolf concept and take it to Gates. |

The UK has an open register, which basically means that anyone can apply for a copy of anyone's birth certificate. Apparently the birth certificate is not considered a basic identity document or something ridiculous like that.
The UK also has one of the highest incidences of identity theft.
Coincidence? I think not. |

| Another meme! |
[Oct. 15th, 2011|12:59 pm] |
The Rated-R meme. Comment with a character of mine, and I'll give you three random bits of trivia about their sexual practices, preferences, experiences, fantasies, kinks, or something along those lines. Feel free to mention multiple characters or a character multiple times. |
